Hi Benjamart,

Yesterday I was at the supermarket checkout, behind someone who was on her cellphone.

An important conversation, I guess, because she was so engrossed in it that it took her five minutes to check out with her credit card – so many mistakes, so many miscommunications.

She was trying to multitask – but failing.

And when I had to jump out of the way of another person who was striding down the street, phone to ear, I got to thinking…

… with everyone so busy communicating, data-receiving, talk-juggling – it’s no wonder they don’t hear what you have to say.

It’s no wonder your tiny ad or one-time postcard is ignored.

There’s just too much noise.

So what’s the solution?

One way is to be different – to stand out.

To make them take notice.

The other way is through repetition – through always being there.

Because if you are always there, then at some point you will be noticed.

And as you are the only one there – you’ll be the one that gets the business.

So…

Show up. Be noticed.

And show up again.
